Primary Supervisor - Detox/Rehabilitation Facility (Wisconsin)Position Summary Are you a compassionate and effective leader with a passion for helping individuals recover from substance use disorders? We are seeking an experienced Primary Supervisor to oversee daily operations, supervise clinical and support staff, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, client-centered care within our detoxification and rehabilitation programs. The Primary Supervisor will provide leadership, support regulatory compliance, promote staff development, and foster a safe, therapeutic environment that supports recovery and wellness. Job DutiesProgram Operations & Supervision Oversee day-to-day operations of detoxification and rehabilitation services. Ensure the delivery of quality care that aligns with organizational policies and Wisconsin DHS regulations. Monitor client census, admissions, discharges, and program flow to ensure efficient operations. Assist in maintaining a safe, therapeutic, and recovery-oriented treatment environment. Address operational issues and support continuous program improvement initiatives. Staff Leadership & Development Directly supervise counselors, technicians, peer support staff, and other assigned personnel. Provide coaching, mentoring, training, and ongoing support to staff. Conduct regular staff meetings, performance evaluations, and corrective action processes when necessary. Ensure adequate staffing coverage and assist with scheduling. Promote a positive team culture focused on professionalism, accountability, and client care. Clinical Support & Documentation Oversight Support clinical staff in maintaining timely and accurate documentation. Monitor treatment planning, client progress, and discharge processes for compliance and quality. Collaborate with medical, nursing, and clinical teams to coordinate comprehensive client care. Facilitate communication among multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of services. Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensure compliance with Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS), licensing standards, Medicaid requirements, and applicable state and federal regulations. Participate in audits, licensing reviews, and accreditation activities. Conduct chart reviews and documentation audits to ensure quality and regulatory compliance. Assist with implementation of corrective action plans and quality improvement initiatives. Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and ethical standards. Community & Referral Relations Support relationships with referral partners, healthcare providers, and community organizations. Represent the facility professionally during community outreach and partnership activities. Assist in strengthening referral networks and promoting program services. Administrative Responsibilities Assist with program reporting, data collection, and performance monitoring. Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new employees. Monitor productivity and service utilization metrics. Collaborate with leadership regarding operational goals, staffing needs, and resource allocation. Leadership & Program Development Identify opportunities to improve client outcomes and enhance program effectiveness. Support organizational initiatives and strategic objectives. Foster a culture of recovery, respect, accountability, and excellence in client care. Serve as a role model for staff by demonstrating strong leadership and ethical decision-making. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Healthcare Administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferred. Experience working in substance use disorder treatment, detoxification, behavioral health, or residential treatment settings. Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Knowledge of Wisconsin DHS regulations, Medicaid requirements, and substance use disorder treatment practices. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Compensation Competitive salary commensurate with experience, licensure, and supervisory responsibilities.
