Full Job Description Key Duties:
Patient Management
- Admitting, transferring and discharging patients; ensuring accurate documentation and communication throughout the processes. Record Keeping
- Maintaining and updating patient medical records, including electronic health records (EPIC), and compiling charts. Communication
- Serving as a liaison between patients, medical staff, and other departments; answering phone calls; relaying information. Scheduling
- Coordinating appointments, procedures and surgeries for patients. Clerical Tasks
- Performing various typing, filing and data entry projects. Supply Management
- Ordering and organizing supplies for the unit. Patient Assistance
- Helping patients and families by answering questions, giving directions, providing forms and brochures. Other Duties
- May be asked to prepare birth/death certificates, vital sign graphs, or other various unit projects.
Education Required:
High School Graduate (HSD, GED, HSED)
Experience Required:
At least one year of experience in a healthcare setting, demonstrating the ability to perform the following skills:
