Job Description
Job Summary Responsible for providing clinical support for the nursing unit, the Scheduling Coordinator will assist the staff with the day-to-day unit work by performing administrative duties for the unit.
Responsibilities Organization:
Able to accurately file all necessary medical documentation in a timely manner.
Chart Maintenance:
Maintains physical charts and records including building and tearing down charts for admission and discharge of patients. Ensures all aspects of the patient's chart are accurate and complete before the arrival of the patient. Acts as
Receptionist:
Manages telephone calls courteously and efficiently.
Supports Department:
Orders office supplies. EMR order and charge entry. Assists unit leadership in maintaining environmental standards as set forth by the organization.
Data Collection:
Assists in data collection for unit audits
Scheduling:
Schedules outpatient infusions and injections. Identifies scheduling issues
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Light Work:
Frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 10 lbs. with a maximum lifting of 25 lbs. Familiarity with medical terminology preferred. Experience with acute care settings and workflows are a plus. Education High School Diploma or GED (Required) Credentials Basic Life Support (Preferred)
