Job Description

Dermatology Program Director Carilion Clinic Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine Roanoke, VA Carilion Clinic and the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine invite applications for an experienced, visionary Dermatology Program Director to lead the development, accreditation, and ongoing excellence of our Dermatology Residency Program. This role is ideal for a collaborative physician-leader who thrives at the intersection of clinical practice, education, and academic growth. Role Highlights Lead all aspects of ACGME program development, accreditation, and continuous quality improvement. Shape curriculum, evaluation systems, scholarly activity expectations, and resident experience. Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing cohort of residents and faculty. Partner closely with Carilion Clinic leadership and Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine to advance academic excellence. Maintain a balanced clinical practice within a growing, multi-specialty academic department. Qualifications MD/DO with board certification in Dermatology. Minimum 3 years of clinical experience; prior GME leadership strongly preferred. Demonstration of a minimum of one (1) year of documented experience serving as a core Faculty member for an ACGME - accredited dermatology program. Must serve as a role model for residents, exceptional example of respect for others and a model of outstanding professionalism. Eligibility for unrestricted Virginia medical licensure.
