Provider Scheduling Manager Birmingham, AL | 3980 Colonnade Pkwy, Birmingham, AL Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM We are seeking an experienced Provider Scheduling Manager to join our fast‑paced physician practice environment in Birmingham, AL. This role is critical to ensuring efficient provider coverage, productivity, and coordination across office and hospital settings. Choose Well Responsibilities:
What You'll Do Manage and maintain comprehensive provider schedules across office and hospital locations Develop and distribute provider schedules at least six months in advance to ensure appropriate coverage Coordinate outpatient, inpatient, call, holiday, and vacation schedules while balancing productivity and efficiency Serve as a liaison between providers, operational leadership, and central scheduling teams Facilitate schedule changes and address urgent coverage needs in a fast‑paced environment Ensure compliance with provider contracts, policies, and scheduling obligations Utilize physician scheduling systems (e.g., QGenda) and related tools to maintain accuracy Analyze scheduling and volume data to support operational decisions
Qualifications:
What We're Looking For Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a physician practice setting managing provider schedules Previous experience in a fast‑paced healthcare environment Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and professionalism Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills Experience with physician scheduling software (QGenda or similar preferred) Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent healthcare experience
