Job Description

Health & Wellness Coordinator (Full-Time) - The Academy of Winchester Do you love cooking, staying organized, and making a difference in the lives of young children? Join our award-winning preschool as a Health & Wellness Coordinator and play a vital role in keeping our children healthy, happy, and nourished every day. This is more than a kitchen position—it's an opportunity to positively impact children and families while working with a supportive team in a rewarding early childhood environment. Schedule Full-Time | Monday-Friday No nights. No weekends. What You'll Do As our Health & Wellness Coordinator, you will oversee the daily operation of our kitchen while helping maintain a clean, healthy, and welcoming environment throughout the center.
Responsibilities include:
Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks for multiple classrooms Following all food allergies and dietary restrictions with accuracy and care Creating monthly menus that meet program guidelines Ordering food and kitchen supplies Receiving and unloading weekly deliveries Maintaining a clean, organized, and fully sanitized kitchen Cleaning and sanitizing common areas, including restrooms Supporting classrooms when needed to ensure exceptional care for our children Maintaining food safety and sanitation standards at all times What We're Looking For Our ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and enjoys working around children while creating healthy meals they'll love.
Qualifications include:
High school diploma or equivalent Current ServSafe Food Handler Certification (or abilty to obtain certification) Experience preparing and serving meals in a commercial kitchen, school, childcare center, or similar setting Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and nutrition Experience working with young children is preferred Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Creativity, initiative, and attention to detail A positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed A passion for food, wellness, and making a difference in the lives of children and families Why You'll Love Working With Us We believe our team members are the heart of our school.
