Job Description

Healthcare Project Architect Location:
Culver City, CA (on‑site with flexibility)
Compensation:
$100,000-$135,000 + full benefits

Full‑Time | Exempt Why This Role Exists Healthcare environments are evolving fast — new delivery models, tighter regulations, smarter technology, and higher expectations from patients and providers alike. We're growing our healthcare practice and are looking for a senior ‑level Project Architect who thrives in complex environments and wants real ownership over meaningful work. This role is for someone who enjoys leading projects end‑to‑end , partnering closely with clients, and mentoring teams — not just producing drawings, but shaping outcomes. What You'll Be Doing You'll act as a technical and project leader across multiple healthcare projects, guiding teams from early planning through construction.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the architectural design and documentation of healthcare facilities (ambulatory, inpatient, outpatient, and skilled nursing) Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams Managing multiple projects simultaneously while balancing design intent, budget, and schedule Coordinating closely with MEP, structural, and specialty consultants to ensure constructability and compliance Navigating
OSHPD / HCAI
processes and healthcare codes with confidence Supporting lease‑driven healthcare projects and understanding how architecture fits into the real estate transaction process Mentoring and guiding junior staff and technical team members Representing the firm in client presentations and project meetings What Success Looks Like In your first year, you'll be: Trusted by clients as a steady, knowledgeable partner Leading small to mid‑size healthcare projects with minimal oversight Supporting and mentoring project teams while maintaining high technical standards Helping elevate healthcare project delivery through thoughtful coordination and clear communication What We're Looking For This role is best suited for an architect who has deep healthcare experience and enjoys responsibility.
Required experience:
10+ years of architectural experience with a strong focus on healthcare Proven experience with
HCAI / OSHPD
‑1 and OSHPD‑3 projects Solid understanding of
FGI, IBC, NFPA
, and healthcare‑specific regulations Experience leading projects across all phases (programming through CA) Strong Revit proficiency and comfort producing and reviewing technical documents Excellent communication and leadership skills Preferred (but not required): California architectural license Healthcare credentials such as
EDAC, ACHA, CHID
