Summary Are you passionate about ensuring engineering teams have reliable, healthy build systems that enable exceptional software delivery? Does optimizing the availability of internal software deployments, internal mobile asset deployments, and shipping factory assets across Apple's ecosystem excite you? Join the Build EPM organization as the leader of the Build Health and Availability team. We are responsible for ensuring that Apple's software builds are available and usable for internal teams, while partnering with cross-functional teams to maintain build system health and optimize the efficient, effective delivery of software, mobile assets, and factory preloading processes. We're looking for a leader who excels at building high-performing teams of Engineering Project Managers and Engineering Program Specialists while ensuring the systems that deliver internal software deployments, mobile assets, and factory assets operate reliably at scale. Description Lead and develop a team of Engineering Project Managers and Engineering Program Specialists responsible for build health, internal software availability, mobile asset delivery, and factory asset preloading processes. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure build systems operate efficiently and effectively, optimize asset delivery workflows, and maintain seamless availability of software builds across Apple's organization. Foster a collaborative environment that empowers team members to drive continuous improvement while maintaining the highest standards of reliability and performance for internal deployments and asset delivery. This role requires a leader who can balance technical depth with people management excellence, someone who can navigate complex infrastructure challenges across diverse asset types while developing talent, and building strong cross-functional relationships. You'll be instrumental in ensuring Apple's build health monitoring and availability systems operate at scale while enabling teams across the organization to access the software and assets they need to deliver exceptional products. Minimum Qualifications BS/MS EE/CS/CE or equivalent 5+ years of management experience with demonstrated success leading project management or technical operations teams Strong background in software development, build systems, or release engineering Proven track record of scaling teams and processes in fast-paced technology environments Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications Experience managing teams involved in build and release engineering or release management Deep understanding of software development lifecycle and project management methodologies Unix programming/scripting experience and technical systems knowledge Demonstrated ability to develop talent and build inclusive, high-performing teams Experience with process improvement and organizational transformation initiatives Strong strategic thinking with ability to balance short-term execution with long-term vision Track record of successful cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $176,600 and $265,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
