Position Summary:
We are seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with strong leadership skills to serve as our Day Program Manager . LVN/Day Program Manager will oversee daily program operations while ensuring the health and safety of consumers through direct nursing care and staff supervision. You'll play a key role in supporting consumers' Individual Service Plans (ISP), managing staff, and upholding high standards of care and program excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Medical & Health Oversight:
Administer routine and PRN medications and treatments per physician's orders Monitor consumer health and respond to medical needs or concerns Maintain accurate documentation (MARs, nursing notes, incident reports, etc.) Train and oversee staff in infection control, medication handling, and safety Communicate with RNs, Administration, family members, and service coordinators
Program Management:
Oversee day-to-day operations of the day program Supervise, train, and evaluate direct care staff Ensure implementation and tracking of each consumer's ISP goals Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment Develop and coordinate curriculum activities Maintain compliance with licensing and agency standards Attend and contribute to team meetings and consumer reviews Report to Administrator regularly on program activities, concerns, and staff needs
Qualifications:
Valid California LVN license (required) Minimum 1 year of experience working with adults with developmental disabilities At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience Criminal record clearance from DOJ Strong interpersonal, documentation, and organizational skills Able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Emotionally mature and physically able to perform job duties Knowledge of IPP/ISP development, behavioral support plans, and health protocols (preferred)
