POSITION OVERVIEW JOB SUMMARY
The Health Sciences and Administration Department Coordinator is responsible for the overall development, implementation, and daily operation of the internship and practicum programs across multiple academic programs in the department including healthcare administration and health sciences. This position also assists with recruitment/marketing for programs in the department, supports faculty with high impact practice implementation, and assists the department with preparations for program reviews and accreditation requirements. This position will teach the internship course. The duties of the position may include, but are not limited to, the following: Internship, Practicum, and Student Placement Coordination Identify, develop, and maintain internship and practicum opportunities. Build and maintain relationships with employers and community partners. Meet with students to support internship preparation, career goals, resumes, and interviewing skills. Review student portfolios. Monitor placements and maintain related files, agreements, evaluations, and documentation. Prepare reports and support data collection for assessment, program review, and accreditation. Outreach and Recruitment Assist with recruitment and outreach for departmental programs. Assist with events, information sessions, employer visits, and community presentations. Promote internship and practicum opportunities to students and external partners. Marketing and Communication Create marketing materials as needed. Maintain departmental social media pages. Support communication with students, employers, alumni, and community partners.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in healthcare administration, health sciences, public health, business administration, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Experience supporting internship, practicum, capstone, or experiential learning courses in higher education. Experience in healthcare administration, healthcare operations, workforce development, accreditation support, student advising, or employer partnership development.
