This position plays an important role in connecting patients, providers, and referral sources while ensuring a smooth and positive experience throughout the scheduling and intake process. Position Overview The Healthcare Support Coordinator serves as a key resource for patients and medical partners. This role involves coordinating appointments, maintaining accurate patient information, and assisting callers with questions regarding services and scheduling. This is a hybrid opportunity based in Manhattan, requiring two days per week in the office. Daily Responsibilities Manage inbound and outbound patient communications Coordinate appointment scheduling and rescheduling activities Review and verify demographic, insurance, and referral information Document patient interactions within electronic healthcare systems Assist patients with questions regarding upcoming appointments and required documentation Communicate with physician offices and referral partners as needed Maintain accurate records and ensure timely follow up Support administrative projects and department initiatives Perform general office and clerical functions Qualifications Fluent in both Spanish and English, written and verbal High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in healthcare administration, patient services, scheduling, or customer support preferred Working knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial Strong computer and data entry skills Excellent organizational and communication abilities Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment Detail oriented with a commitment to accuracy Demonstrated reliability and professionalism Attendance Expectations Successful candidates must demonstrate consistent attendance and punctuality.
