High school diploma or GED EMR systems Cleaning Full Job Description Busy Ear, Nose, and Throat Practice. Otolaryngology experience is a plus! Bilingual in Spanish is a plus!
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Must be knowledgeable of all the equipment used in the audio department and understand the difference between Conductive Hearing Loss, Mixed Hearing Loss, and Sensorineural Hearing Loss
  • Must be able to perform audiometric testing on various populations using appropriate and recommended tests. (Pure tone testing, AC/BC, Masking, SRT, WRS, Tympanometry, acoustic reflects, DPO AE's)
  • Understand how to read and accurately document testing results
  • Understand the difference between various audiometric tests (PT, KC, BC, WRS, SRT, SAT, VRA)
  • Must be able to properly obtain and interpret Oto Acoustic Emissions (OAEs)
  • Must be able to properly obtain and interpret Tympanometry properly (TYMPs)
  • Must be able to properly perform and interpret Bone Conduction Testing when warranted
  • Must be able to fit assistive listening devices (Hearing Aids) based on the patients personal hearing needs
  • Must understand how all equipment is properly cleaned and sterilized and be willing to follow OSHA standards
  • Executing all prior authorizations related to back office such as medications, CT scans, and other related studies
  • Cleans and prepares front office area at end of shift for receipt of patients the following clinic day.
  • Must understand the different types of accessories that are sold /or used and why there are used (ear plugs/ear molds), hearing aid batteries, wax guards, and ear nuds that apply to tip of hearing aids.
  • Must have basic knowledge of hearing aid repairs (domes/Filters/Speakers/Etc)
  • Willing to learn other aspects of the office and support team when short handed
  • Documents telephone calls accurately in medical record
  • Maintains patient confidentiality according to HIPAA rules
  • Attends required training programs
  • Trains new staff when instructed
  • Performs patient education when appropriate
  • Maintains good relationship with physicians in verifying orders/requests and any question that may come up
  • Helps receptionists when needed.
  • Performs other duties as required or requested by management
Education:
High School Diploma or GED Travel:
Some light traveling between our Goodyear and Sun City Office. Salary is based off experience.
