Our mission is simple:
keep students safe at school and help every child reach their full potential. A child can't learn what they can't see or hear. A student who can't hear the teacher or see the board isn't a behavior issue - they're someone with a barrier no one has caught yet. As a Hearing & Vision Screener with School Nursing Solutions, you're often the first person to find it. We're hiring a reliable, professional, child-loving screener in the Central Valley. No nights. No weekends. No mandatory overtime. Every major holiday off. Just meaningful work on a predictable school-year schedule - and full, paid-for training for the right person What You'll Do Conduct state-mandated hearing and vision screenings in school settings Travel to school sites throughout California's Central Valley, Bay Area, and more Set up, operate, and maintain screening equipment Accurately document and track screening results Follow established screening protocols and procedures Interact professionally with students, school staff, and your SNS team Represent School Nursing Solutions with professionalism and positivity Support screening workflow and day-of logistics as needed What You Bring Reliable transportation and a willingness to travel in California Professionalism and punctuality - you show up and follow through The ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication skills and sharp attention to detail A willingness to learn technical screening procedures A dependable, organized, solution-oriented mindset Comfort and patience working with children of all ages We'll train an exceptional candidate who demonstrates reliability, professionalism, and a passion for helping kids. You don't need a medical background to start - but you need to care and be coachable. Nice to Have (Not Required) School Audiometrist certification, completion of School Audiometry Training, or willingness to be educated Medical Assistant (MA) experience Background in schools, healthcare, pediatrics, public health, or community health Bilingual (Spanish) Who Thrives Here People who genuinely care about kids and their success.
