A hearing aid technician plays a key role in supporting patient care and ensuring that hearing devices function properly and comfortably. This position assists patients with hearing aid maintenance, cleaning, troubleshooting, fittings, and education, while supporting the office's daily operations. The ideal candidate is a quick learner, technically capable, organized, and enjoys building meaningful relationships with patients (many of whom are seniors and longtime members of our community). We will provide you with full training alongside our other technicians. You do not need to have any prior experience working with hearing aids. We just ask that you are teachable, empathetic, and able to use a computer efficiently.Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Support:
Assist patients with hearing aid use, maintenance, and troubleshooting Clean, inspect, and perform routine maintenance on hearing aids and accessories Educate patients and their family members/caregivers on proper device care and usage Provide follow-up support for hearing aid adjustments and concerns Maintain accurate patient records and documentationTechnical Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot hearing device performance issues Program hearing devices Conduct listening checks and basic diagnostic evaluations Manage repairs and coordinate manufacturer warranties or service requests Maintain inventory of hearing aid supplies, batteries, domes, and accessories Stay current on hearing aid technology and product updatesAdministrative & Office Support:
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of clinical and office areas Support providers and team members with daily operational tasks Uphold HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards Open packages and put away suppliesQualifications Required:
High school diploma or equivalent Strong communication and customer service skills Comfortable working with technology and small electronic devices Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Compassionate, patient-centered attitude Professional demeanor and reliabilityPreferred:
Experience in hearing healthcare, medical office, audiology, or customer service Familiarity with hearing aid software and programming Experience working with elderly patientsCompensation & Benefits:
