Special School District (SSD) provides hearing services for students throughout St. Louis County, helping identify hearing concerns early so students can fully access their learning environment. As an Audiometrist, you will conduct hearing screenings for children using specialized equipment and age-appropriate testing procedures, helping students and families receive timely support and follow-up when needed. Through your attention to detail, ability to build rapport with students, and commitment to accurate screening practices, you will play an important role in supporting student success and wellbeing. Audiometrists travel throughout the county to provide testing as needed and work primarily during school hours, Monday through Friday, though schedules may vary based on district testing needs. Special School District serves nearly 25,000 students and employs over 5,700 staff in St. Louis County.
