Job Description

Growing audiology practice seeks AuD externs interested in using their training to the fullest through hearing and tinnitus diagnostics and rehab. Infant through geriatric patients Diagnostic testing Hearing aid evaluations, sales & management Cochlear implant evaluation & management Osseointegrated implant management Tinnitus evaluations, treatments & management Educational Audiology Close relationship with ENT providers Auditory processing evaluation and treatment (coming late-2027 or early-2028)
Position Benefits:

We set the bar for hearing healthcare. Our audiologists lead with care and science for every ear at every age; this means we often work collaboratively with other care providers to ensure comprehensive, holistic hearing health care. Evidence-based practice is at the center of every decision we make and treatment we choose. We are the only cochlear implant audiology practice in the State of Wyoming, working with all three CI manufacturers. We specialize in tinnitus evaluation and management with an extensive tinnitus test battery and solution-driven, holistic treatment management options. Cheyenne Community :
Cheyenne has much to offer independent singles and families. The public school system in Cheyenne is well above average drawing young families who want quality education. There are a variety of attractions and entertainment opportunities throughout the year in the greater Cheyenne area. Home to 15 local museums, movie theaters, community theaters, a civic center, outdoor concerts and many other amenities, there is always something to do in Cheyenne. The artist community is also very strong and provides monthly artwork throughout the community, along with many other public events, making it a fun place to live. Additionally, Cheyenne is home to Cheyenne Frontier Days, the world's largest outdoor rodeo which lasts 10 days during the month of July. Wyoming offers exceptional opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts. The Snowy Range mountains are only 45 miles west and offer skiing, hiking, camping, mountain biking, hunting, fishing and canoeing. Additionally, Vedauwoo Recreation Area and Curt Gowdy State Park boast world-class rock climbing, mountain bike trails, hiking, camping and fishing. Glendo Reservoir and Guernsey Reservoir are beautiful lakes north of town just off I-25. Cheyenne is also only about an hour away from most of Colorado's famous mountain resorts. If you are looking for some "big city" excitement, Denver is a mere 90 minutes away.
Extern Requirements:
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, outgoing, and team oriented. This candidate should want to fully embrace diagnostics and hearing aid fittings, as well as have an interest in understanding entrepreneurship and learning how a business operates. Externs should be ready to perform medically relevant diagnostics, including audiometry, immittance, DPOAEs as well as treatment focused evaluations that include speech-in-noise testing such as the
ACT, ANL
& QuickSIN, and loudness discomfort levels. Candidates must be passionate about working with hearing aid technology and have the desire to improve lives with hearing solutions. Externs will be expected to improve proficiency with evidence-based hearing aid dispensing and ongoing hearing aid management with electroacoustic analysis and real ear measurements. Skills expected to have mastered before arrival : Pure tone air and bone conduction audiometry Immittance testing

Yes Externs would be placed in our Cheyenne clinic as a home base. They will travel to all our different clinics and work with all our audiologists. If the extern is a good match for the practice a full-time position may be offered, however, it is not mandatory that externs accept that position to qualify and be selected for this externship experience.
