Histology Associate (Onsite, 1st Shift)

Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (1st Shift)
Employment Type:
Contract Pay Rate:
$25-$27/hour (based on experience)

Available but not required ? About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Histology Associate to join a dynamic laboratory team. In this onsite contract position, you will play a critical role in preparing biological tissue samples for diagnostic and research purposes. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals or recent graduates looking to build hands-on laboratory experience in histology. ? Key Responsibilities Prepare and process tissue samples for microscopic evaluation, including embedding, sectioning, and staining Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment used in histology workflows Perform routine quality control checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with laboratory standards Collaborate with pathologists and lab personnel to support specimen analysis and reporting Follow established safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and best lab practices Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment ?
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or GED 0-5 years of relevant experience in histology or a laboratory setting Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Ability to quickly learn new techniques and work independently Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy
Preferred:
Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) certification Previous hands-on laboratory or histology experience Knowledge of histology best practices and procedures ?
