Job Description

job summary: Join a top-tier global pharmaceutical leader in Ridgefield, CT, as a Scientist II. This onsite, 1-year contract role offers an exceptional opportunity to advance your career by executing critical histological workflows that directly support cutting-edge research and drug discovery initiatives.
location:
Ridgefield, Connecticut job type: Contract salary: $40.00 - 42.30 per hour work hours: 9 to 5 education: Masters responsibilities: Execute precision tissue processing and embedding using both paraffin and frozen section techniques. Perform high-quality tissue staining, including immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunofluorescence (IF), and standard histology. Troubleshoot and optimize laboratory protocols to ensure highly reproducible, valid experimental results. Collaborate closely with research teams to design experiments, analyze data, and interpret findings. Maintain meticulous documentation of procedures, results, and inventory in strict compliance with laboratory standards.
qualifications:
Required:
PhD or Master's degree in biology, biomedical sciences, or a related field (Bachelor's degree considered with significant relevant experience). 3-5 years of hands-on experience in tissue processing, embedding, and staining within a research or clinical lab setting. Proficiency in histological techniques, including paraffin sectioning, cryosectioning, IHC, and IF. Proven experience working with HPLC, ocular tissue, or skin tissue. Strong attention to detail, laboratory safety compliance, and excellent collaborative communication skills.
Preferred:
Hands-on experience with 3D printing technologies. #LI-CV1 skills:
