Day Shift Description:
HISTOLOGY TECH LEAD BOISE , ID SUMMARY
: Plans, manages and supervises the activities of a section of the anatomic pathology department. Performs clerical and environmental duties in the histology/cytology department. Provides support for the pathologists in handling and retrieving specimens. Responsible for adhering to department standards for patient identification and specimen integrity.
REQUIREMENTS
: + Certification as a Histology Technician (HT) or Histology Technologist ( HLT ) by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists ( ASCP ) required . + 3 years of experience in histology required .
HOURS :
You will enjoy excellent work-life balance by having afternoons and evenings off. The Lead works Monday
  • Friday, arriving between 5am
  • 6am. The day generally concludes between 1pm
  • 130pm.
No evenings, nights, weekends or holidays.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
+ Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions. . + Plans, prepares and coordinates work schedules to provide adequate coverage and efficient use of staff. + Plans, prepares and maintains assigned procedure manuals according to regulatory requirements. + Ensures that QC testing is performed, recorded and evaluated according to established guidelines. + Independently resolves technical and safety issues in a timely and appropriate manner. + Deals with issues affecting shift or department as required. + Ensures that department or shift meets all regulatory requirements. + Human relations, communication, and supervisory skills. + Absolute integrity with patient information and in the accurate performance of tasks. + Ability to work independently. + Good organizational skills.
