Histology Technologist Mass General Brigham (Enterprise Services) United States, Massachusetts, Boston 273 Charles Street (Show on map) May 11, 2026
This position is responsible for preparing tissue specimens for microscopic examination by processing, embedding, cutting, and mounting them on slides. Duties include maintaining quality control, performing equipment maintenance, ensuring proper specimen identification and tracking, following safety procedures with PPE, and maintaining a clean and safe laboratory environment. Education Bachelor's Degree in a related field required Experience cannot substitute for the degree Licenses & Certifications (Preferred) Histotechnician - HT(ASCP), American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) Histotechnologist - HTL(ASCP), American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) Experience 0-1 year of clinical or histology experience required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Fundamental knowledge of basic histotechnology techniques, including: Fixation Decalcification Tissue processing Embedding Routine staining Ability to maintain and continuously update clinical knowledge and technical skills.
