Responsibilities:
The Lead Histotechnician provides technical leadership and oversight of histology laboratory operations to ensure the accurate and timely processing of surgical specimens while preserving tissue morphology and cellular structure. This role oversees the preparation of high-quality tissue sections for microscopic evaluation, performs routine and specialized histology procedures including special stains and immunohistochemistry, and helps ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and hospital standards. The Lead Histotechnician supports quality assurance activities, maintains required documentation, and may serve as the manager's designee in their absence.
Qualifications:
Education and Work Experience:
Associate Degree in Laboratory Science and successful completion of a NAACLS approved Histotechnician Program or Histology Laboratory training that meets ASCP eligibility requirements for certification Must meet CLIA requirements for high complexity testing 5 years experience in Histology preferred.

USD $35.26/Hr.
Max:
USD $63.47/Hr.
