Histotechnologist - Full-Time

Histotechnologist - Full-Time Under general supervision, the Histotechnologist performs all aspects of histologic slide preparations for diagnosis including routine and special tests, maintenance and quality control, and computer functions.

Education:

• Associate's degree in science with at least two (2) years of full-time experience in histopathology within the last five (5) years OR
• Successful completion of an accredited histotechnology program, registry eligible OR
• Bachelor's degree with one (1) year of full time experience in histopathology within the last five (5) years.

Licensure:

Certification as a registered HT or HTL by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) preferred.

Experience:

Dependent upon level of education acquired

Skills:

• Knowledge of histologic theory, practices, and standards
• Skills in cellular evaluation and interpretation
• Skill in oral, written and interpersonal communication
• Skill in basic computers
• Skill in basic mathematics, data analysis and problem solving
• Ability to operate and maintain basic laboratory equipment.
• Ability to prioritize work, organize and transfer data accurately.

Physical Requirement:

• Requires manual dexterity, good visual acuity, including color perception
• Able to stand or sit for long periods of time
• Some heavy lifting up to 30 poundsPay Range$27.

32 - $44.80Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
