Job Description

Category Laboratory - Histology Job Type Contract Bring your laboratory expertise as a Histology professional to a thriving clinical setting, where your skills are vital to accurate diagnostics and patient care. This contract role offers the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative team, supporting critical functions in the histology laboratory.
Schedule:
Afternoon shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, Monday through
Friday Key Qualifications:
4-5 years of professional experience in histology, laboratory technology, or as a histologist Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences or a related field Current ASCP certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Comprehensive understanding of histology principles, techniques, and laboratory safety protocols Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently within required time frames
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare, cut, stain, and mount tissue specimens for microscopic examination and diagnosis Operate and maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with established protocols Ensure accurate labeling and handling of all specimens throughout processing Maintain high standards for specimen quality and documentation in compliance with laboratory policies Collaborate closely with pathologists, laboratory personnel, and other healthcare professionals Uphold rigorous safety and quality control standards at all times This opportunity is for a 13-week contract, ideal for experienced histology technicians looking to make immediate contributions in a reputable healthcare environment. The role involves a brief, 30-minute interview conducted via MS Teams.
