Job Description

Category Laboratory - Histology Job Type Contract Seeking a skilled professional to support laboratory operations in histology. This is a 13-week contract opportunity suited for individuals with significant experience and relevant certifications, looking to contribute their expertise to a busy healthcare environment.
Schedule:
Afternoon shift: Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30
PM Qualifications:
4 to 5 years of hands-on experience working in a histology laboratory setting Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant science field Certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Sharp attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and complex histological procedures including specimen preparation, cutting, staining, and mounting of tissue samples Operate and maintain laboratory equipment ensuring accurate and reliable results Maintain documentation and quality assurance protocols in line with standards and regulatory requirements Collaborate with pathologists, technologists, and other laboratory team members to ensure timely processing of specimens Uphold safety procedures and contribute to a clean, organized lab environment Support ongoing process improvements and follow established laboratory protocols
