Histotechnologist (LAB) Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Histotechnologist to work in a clinical laboratory setting, responsible for preparing tissue samples for microscopic examination. The Histotechnologist will perform specimen processing, embedding, microtomy, staining, and quality control while ensuring compliance with laboratory safety and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Receive, label, and process surgical and biopsy specimens Perform tissue fixation, processing, embedding, and sectioning (microtomy) Prepare slides using routine and special stains (H&E, PAS, IHC support) Operate and maintain histology lab equipment (microtomes, processors, cryostats) Perform frozen sections when required Ensure proper specimen identification and chain-of-custody Maintain quality control and troubleshoot staining/processing issues Follow
CLIA, CAP, OSHA
