Job Description
iHisto is a fast-growing histology CRO supporting biotech, pharma, and academic research organizations across the U.S. We specialize in FFPE processing, microtomy, H&E, IHC, multiplex IF, ISH/FISH, digital pathology, and customized histology solutions for research and discovery. We are expanding our operations into the RTP area and are looking for an experienced, hands-on histotech to help establish and manage the day-to-day operation of our new North Carolina laboratory. Job Description This is not a routine bench-only histotech position. We are looking for someone experienced, reliable, and highly independent who can take ownership of the lab operation and directly support client projects with minimal training. The ideal candidate already has strong practical histology experience and is comfortable working hands-on with real client samples and experiments from day one. This person will play a key role in building and organizing the new RTP lab operation. As the lab grows, additional support staff will be added to assist this role.
Responsibilities:
Perform hands-on histology laboratory work including but not limited : Tissue processing, Embedding , sectioning (FFPE and frozen), H&E staining & Special stains, IHC support, Slide QC and organization, Whole slide imaging, etc. Handle client samples carefully and professionally Maintain laboratory organization, inventory, and workflow efficiency Assist with instrument maintenance and troubleshooting Coordinate and prioritize daily lab tasks and incoming projects Communicate with the headquarters team regarding project progress and operational needs Communicate with clients regarding the questions and problems for the on-going projects. Help establish and improve SOPs and laboratory workflows for the new site Support shipping, receiving, and sample management when neededQualifications:
