Qualifications & Experience:
Associate degree or higher in laboratory science or a related field Current certification as a Histology Technician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) by ASCP or equivalent Proficiency in histological techniques including microtomy, embedding, staining, and special stains Minimum of one year of recent experience in a clinical histology laboratory preferred Strong attention to detail and commitment to laboratory safety and quality standards Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
Schedule/Hours:
Night shifts are available for optimal work-life balance
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare tissue specimens for microscopic analysis according to laboratory protocols Perform embedding, microtomy, staining, and cover slipping with high precision Maintain and calibrate lab equipment in compliance with regulatory standards Accurately log specimen data and manage inventory of lab supplies Contribute to process improvements and uphold accreditation standards
