The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in laboratory procedures and techniques, with a focus on specimen collection and processing. As a Histologist, you will play a crucial role in analyzing tissue samples to assist in diagnosing diseases and contributing to patient care. Responsibilities Prepare and process tissue specimens for microscopic examination. Perform histological staining techniques and ensure quality control of slides. Collaborate with pathologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic information. Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Document laboratory procedures and results accurately in accordance with medical terminology standards. Assist in specimen collection and processing Conduct research as needed, contributing to the advancement of laboratory practices. Skills Anatomic laboratory experience, including familiarity with laboratory procedures and techniques. Proficient in specimen collection and processing, ensuring high-quality samples for analysis. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pathology, and medical terminology relevant to histology. Aseptic technique proficiency to maintain sample integrity and prevent contamination. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
