Immunizations Performance Standards:

Receive specimens and requests that are properly identified and labeled following regulatory agency requirements and CLSI standards on patient identification. Specimens are processed in a timely manner. Receive acceptable specimens, maintains specimen integrity and is alert to specimen errors. Process workload in a timely manner ensuring section established turn-around-times are adhered to. Samples are received in the appropriate containers with the correct and adequate amount of medium. Any inadequate specimens are addressed following section standard operating procedures. Follows regulatory agency requirements and CLSI standards guidelines for hand hygiene, use of appropriate PPE, and decontaminates and cleans equipment and work area, as required. Technician(s) shall respond to customer needs. Assesses the customer's concern properly and performs the tasks required to resolve the problem within the scope of the position. Customer concerns are addressed in a timely manner. Communicates with customers and co-workers and responds to requests for assistance in a professional and respectful manner and adhering to HR-35 Code of Conduct.
