Histology Technologist
  • Full-Time, Days Histology Technologist II Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas, Texas 75231 Work hours: Full-time, Monday
  • Friday, 2:00am
  • 10:30am Anatomic Pathology Department highlights:
  • Frozen Section Assistance
  • Special Stains
  • Immunohistochemistry Here's What You Need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate Degree preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Lab Science or Chemical, Physical or Biological Science preferred
  • One-year experience in histopathology preferred
  • HT (ASCP) Histotechnician required within 6 months from hire
  • HTL (ASCP) Histotechnologist required within 6 months from hire What You Will Do
  • Follows laboratory procedure for specimen collection, handling, and processing.
  • Surgical pathology dissection assistance
  • Cuts and stains, thin quality frozen sections within 20 minutes of receipt to diagnosis
  • Embedding
  • Performs special stains
  • Evaluate stains
