Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mohs Technician to join our dermatology and surgical team. In this vital role, you will assist in the preparation and processing of tissue specimens for Mohs micrographic surgery, ensuring precise and efficient laboratory procedures. Your expertise will directly contribute to successful patient outcomes by supporting the surgical team with specimen collection, processing, and documentation. This position offers an engaging environment where your skills in laboratory techniques, patient care, and pathology are essential to delivering exceptional dermatologic treatment. Responsibilities Prepare and process tissue specimens collected during Mohs micrographic surgery with meticulous attention to detail. Assist surgeons during procedures by handling specimens promptly and accurately, ensuring proper labeling and documentation. Maintain strict aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during specimen handling and laboratory procedures. Support laboratory operations by performing routine tasks such as specimen processing, slide preparation, and staining. Ensure all laboratory procedures comply with safety protocols, medical terminology standards, and institutional policies. Document all procedures according to CLIA policies. Skills Proven experience in clinical or research laboratories, particularly in specimen collection and processing. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology relevant to dermatologic surgery. Familiarity with laboratory techniques including tissue embedding, sectioning, staining, and slide analysis. Experience with hospital or healthcare settings, demonstrating understanding of patient care protocols. Ability to follow detailed laboratory procedures accurately while maintaining aseptic technique standards. Excellent organizational skills for managing specimens, documentation, and lab records efficiently. Pay:
$23.97 - $28.87 per hour
