Job Title:
Histotechnologist Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Histotechnologist to join the Translational Pathology Biomarker Testing Laboratory (TPBTL). This role supports CLIA-certified, CAP-accredited translational and clinical biomarker testing in support of early- and late-phase clinical programs. Responsibilities Perform routine and non-routine histology activities including tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, IHC/ISH, and special stains. Accession and track patient samples using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). Operate and maintain histology and IHC instrumentation such as Ventana, Dako, and Leica. Support antibody onboarding, validation, and lot-to-lot qualification. Maintain laboratory documentation, quality control records, and equipment logs. Assist with the authoring and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Support CAP inspections, audits, and inspection readiness. Collaborate with pathologists, scientists, and quality and regulatory partners. Essential Skills Associate's degree in Histotechnology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field. 2-5 years of hands-on histology experience in a regulated environment. Proficiency in tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and immunohistochemistry (IHC). Working knowledge ofCAP/CLIA
regulations. Experience using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). Strong attention to detail, documentation, and organizational skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications ASCP HT or HTL certification. Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline. Experience with digital pathology and slide imaging systems. Experience supporting assay validation or multiplex IHC. Work Environment This is a 100% lab-based role located in Bothell, WA, where you will work with advanced laboratory equipment in a dynamic and supportive environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Bothell, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
