In this rewarding position, you will provide personalized support that promotes growth, safety, and community engagement. Your compassionate approach and proactive mindset will help foster a positive environment where clients feel valued, understood, and motivated to achieve their goals. Responsibilities Assist individuals with daily living activities (ADLs), including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks. Implement behavior management strategies to support positive behavior and skill development. Support communication efforts using various methods such as American Sign Language or other assistive techniques. Facilitate participation in community outings, recreational activities, and social events to promote social integration. Collect and document data related to client progress, behaviors, and service delivery to ensure accurate record-keeping. Administer medications following prescribed protocols and maintain medication logs with precision. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized support plans. Drive clients safely to appointments, activities, or community events while maintaining a focus on safety and comfort. Qualifications Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is highly preferred. Knowledge of special education principles and behavioral health practices. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with clients, families, and team members. Ability to assist with ADLs and provide caregiving support in home or community settings. Familiarity with data collection methods related to behavioral health or social work. Valid driver's license and safe driving record for transportation duties. Additional skills such as American Sign Language or experience in medication administration are a plus. Prior home & community care experience is desirable but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. Join us in making a meaningful difference every day!
