Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Direct Service Professional to join our team in providing compassionate support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and other disabilities. In this vital role, you will serve as a trusted caregiver, helping clients achieve greater independence and quality of life through personalized care, behavioral support, and community engagement. Your energetic approach will empower individuals to thrive in their daily routines while fostering a safe, nurturing environment. Responsibilities Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and other needs by assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation Implement behavior management plans tailored to each individual's needs, promoting positive behaviors and emotional well-being Support clients during community outings and home activities to encourage social integration and independence Collect and document data related to client progress, behavior patterns, medication administration, and service outcomes accurately and consistently Communicate effectively with clients using various methods including verbal skills, American Sign Language (ASL), or other assistive communication tools Assist with medication administration following prescribed protocols and safety guidelines Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health standards, safety procedures, and confidentiality policies Support families and caregivers through compassionate communication and collaboration on care plans Experience Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is highly preferred Background in special education or behavioral health enhances your ability to implement effective support strategies Home & community care experience is valuable for understanding client needs in real-world settings Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with clients, families, and team members effectively Ability to drive safely for community outings or client appointments is a plus Familiarity with data collection methods related to social work or caregiving roles is advantageous Experience assisting with medication administration or behavioral interventions demonstrates your readiness for this role Join us as a Direct Service Professional and become a vital part of empowering individuals to live fulfilling lives! Pay:
$22.00 - $26.00 per hour
