PRN Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Job Summary:

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. Duties:

• Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
• Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals
• Implement individualized care plans and behavior management strategies
• Assist with transportation to appointments, community outings, and recreational activities
• Monitor and document vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals
• Ensure a clean and safe environment for individuals
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in healthcare or related field is a plus
• Previous experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities preferred
• Knowledge of caregiving techniques, including first aid and CPR
• Ability to effectively communicate and work with individuals of diverse backgrounds and abilities
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional boundaries
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
