As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving greater independence and improving their quality of life.

Duties:

• Provide personalized care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a community setting.
• Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
• Implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each client.
• Foster a safe and supportive environment that promotes independence and dignity.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance socialization and cognitive skills.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and any incidents that occur.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in caregiving, particularly in working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Knowledge of dementia care, patient care, working with people with autism, HIPAA regulations, senior care, home care, and long-term care practices.
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized environment for clients.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Compassionate nature and patience when dealing with individuals facing developmental challenges.
