In this vital role, you will empower residents to live as independently as possible while ensuring their safety, well-being, and dignity. Your dedication will help foster a supportive environment where individuals with developmental disabilities, aging concerns, or health challenges can thrive. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through hands-on caregiving, personalized support, and community engagement. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly to healthcare teams Administer medications following HIPAA guidelines and care plans while maintaining accurate documentation Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet individual dietary needs and preferences Support residents during activities, outings, and community events to promote social interaction and engagement Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and ensuring sanitation standards are met Follow all safety protocols including CPR and First Aid procedures to respond effectively during emergencies Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Experience with caregiving is advantageous Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism enhances your ability to provide tailored support Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality and respectful care practices Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist residents with mobility needs safely Background in social work or long-term care environments supports comprehensive resident-centered care Join us in creating a positive impact through dedicated caregiving!
