Job Description

Overview Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Assistant and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities and personal well-being. In this vital role, you will provide personalized care, promote independence, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment for residents or clients. Whether working in a home setting, assisted living facility, or group home, your dedication will help enhance quality of life and foster a sense of community. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition Support medication administration following prescribed care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet dietary needs and preferences Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to safely transfer residents with mobility challenges Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities, observations, and incident reports Engage in patient observation to identify potential health concerns or behavioral changes early on Skills Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes with a focus on senior or disability care Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards Ability to perform CPR and First Aid confidently in emergency situations Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or memory care needs Strong skills in patient monitoring, vital signs measurement, and medication administration Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting with mobility tasks using equipment like Hoyer lifts Compassionate communication skills to support patients' emotional well-being and foster trust Join us if you're passionate about providing empathetic care that empowers individuals to live their best lives.
