Reporting to their Direct Care Supervisor & Waiver Services Director, the Direct Support Professional (DSP) will participate in the team approach toward accomplishing the goal of Community Based Services associated with the Waiver program through Arkansas Division of Developmental Disabilities Services (DDS). This position is full time with a flexible schedule, but some weekends are required.Job Responsibilities:
Exhibit compassion, support consumers, and ensure a safe environment Foster independence in individuals Help individuals acquire skills, such as social behavior & interpersonal competence Provide a person-centered care approach to all individuals we support Assist with community outings, personal hygiene assistance, mobility exercises and meal prep Assist with verbal prompting for communication needs and in home safety practicesRequirements:
Must be eligible to work in the United States Must be at least 18 years of age Must have a valid state license or ID Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen & background checks Should exhibit characteristics such as patience, kindness, and understanding Adheres to Myers-Davis' mission vision and philosophyDirect Support Professional Newport, AR Full-time Full-time Description:
