Job Description

Job Summary We have several Shifts available in our residential program. Overnight shifts consist of a 10-12 hour shift starting at around 8:30 pm through 8:30 am. Day shifts are split shifts starting at 6:00 am through 8:30 am, then returning at 3:30 pm through around 8:30 pm Monday through Friday. We also have 10 -12 hours day shifts available on the weekends. Join our dedicated team as a Direct Support Professional, where your enthusiasm and compassion will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and other special needs. This rewarding role involves providing personalized care, fostering independence, and promoting community engagement. Your positive attitude and proactive approach will help create a supportive atmosphere where individuals can thrive and reach their full potential. Duties Assist individuals with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation to promote independence and well-being Support behavioral health needs through positive behavior management strategies and de-escalation techniques Help individuals participate in community outings, recreational activities, and social events to foster social skills and community integration Collect data on progress and behavior to support care plans and track developmental milestones Administer medications following prescribed protocols while maintaining accurate medication administration records and following the six rights. Provide transportation support by driving clients safely to the Day Program or activities when required Skills Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or other disabilities in home or community settings prefered Excellent communication skills Ability to handle behavioral health challenges with patience and professionalism Experience in caregiving roles involving assisting with ADLs and medication administration Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for transportation duties prefered Knowledge of data collection methods and documentation standards for care plans Compassionate approach to social work principles, promoting dignity and respect for all clients Requirements Must be 18+ years of age. Ability to pass and maintain a Background check, drug test, and Fingerprint Clearance Card. Lift, push and pull 35+ pounds.
Maintain:
CPR/First Aid, Article-9, Prevention and Support, HIPPA as well as other trainings. Pay:
$15.50 - $17.00 per hour
