We are seeking compassionate and dedicated DSPs to provide care and support to our members, ensuring they experience a fun filled day with non-stop activities. We emphasize social interaction, team building, skill development, health & wellness, and we enjoy exploring our community in new and exciting ways! The ideal candidate will have experience in working with a diverse community of adults with disabilities and making it a meaningful day while accommodating a wide variety of interests and skill levels. Our program will challenge our participants to discover their purpose, improve their character and achieve personal goals.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday 8am- 4:00pm Duties This position requires dedication, empathy, and a commitment to improving the lives of those we serve. Perform all tasks to develop and implement opportunities for each member to achieve their Person-Centered Service Plan goals and create opportunities for the members to learn and practice new skills, building their confidence and independence. Work to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all members. Maintain positive communication with parents and other professionals, internally and with outside organizations Assist individuals with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, toileting, eating, and mobility support during day program activities. Encourage independence by providing individuals with choices and promoting decision-making in their daily activities. Accompany individuals on community outings, such as shopping trips, recreational activities, or volunteer opportunities, ensuring their safety and inclusion. Strong creativity and the ability to have fun, enjoy yourself, your work, and your environment Assist in ensuring that all contract and license requirements are met including writing objectives, teaching and behavior plans, data collection, reporting, and lesson plans. Participate in team meetings, providing insights and updates on individuals' progress and offering input on service adjustments. Other responsibilities as assigned Qualifications Must have a High School Diploma or GED Must be 18 years of age or older Must be able to fulfill physical duties of job including ability to stand or sit for long periods of time. Must be fully ambulatory and able to frequently lift, push and pull up to fifty (50) pounds.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Class one fingerprint certification (can be obtained after hire)
- First Aid & CPR certification (can be obtained after hire)
- Article 9 training (can be obtained after hire)
- Must possess and maintain Prevention and Support certification (can be obtained after hire)
- Must be able to attend to personal care issues such as feeding, refreshing, and medication
- Be able to participate in fitness activities (i.e., participation in yoga, walking/hiking, running and outdoor games, swimming, group sports, and other physical activities as needed)
- Must be flexible: the ability to change activities and assignments with little or no notice .

Pay:
