Direct Support Professional (DSP) - (Driver and Non-Driver)-Residential/DTA

The Direct Support Professional provides direct care and support to adults with developmental disabilities in a home-like setting. Under general supervision, they assist individuals with daily living skills, personal care, medication administration, transportation, and participation in recreational and community activities. They maintain clear communication with families, support coordinators, and other professionals, and ensure safe, clean living environments. Key Responsibilities Teach and assist with daily living skills (hygiene, meals, routines, independent living). Administer medications and follow individual service plans (ISPs). Maintain documentation, records, and incident reports. Support community activities, recreation, and skill-building. Communicate effectively with staff, families, and medical professionals. Participate in meetings regarding resident care. Keep the home environment clean, safe, and well-maintained. Prepare meals, perform sleepover duties, and complete required training. Minimum Qualifications At least 3 months of relevant experience (ISP implementation, documentation, habilitation, respite, or personal care). High school diploma/GED. Valid Arizona driver's license (if driving) and clean MVR. Must be 18+ (21+ to transport clients). Level I Fingerprint Clearance and background check. CPR, First Aid, Article 9, Prevention & Supports, and QMAT training (or ability to complete). Ability to read, write, and speak English. Preferred Qualifications Ability to drive agency vehicles. Strong problem-solving, reasoning, and crisis-intervention skills. Ability to perform CPR/First Aid. Physical & Emotional Requirements Ability to stand/sit long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, climb stairs. Must remain calm and supportive during crises. Possible exposure to blood-borne pathogens; Hepatitis B vaccine offered.
