What You'll Do As a DSP, you will support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a fun, engaging, and person-centered environment by: Assisting individuals with daily living skills and independence Supporting community outings, recreational activities, events, and adventures Leading games, crafts, fitness activities, life-skills lessons, and group activities Encouraging social interaction, confidence-building, and community engagement Helping individuals develop communication, employment, and independent living skills Providing support with personal care needs when needed Creating a safe, positive, inclusive, and encouraging environment Documenting progress toward individual goals and service plans Working closely with a supportive team to provide high-quality services Every day looks different — and that's part of what makes this role exciting and rewarding.
