Key Responsibilities Daily Living Assistance:

Support individuals with personal care, hygiene, and daily living activities.

Meal Preparation:

Assist in preparing nutritious meals to meet dietary needs.

Community Engagement:

Accompany individuals to social activities, appointments, and events to foster community integration.

Health Monitoring:

Monitor and document vital signs and overall health to ensure the safety and well-being of those in your care.

Advocacy:

Advocate for individuals' rights, fostering self-determination and independence.

Social Interaction:

Build meaningful connections to enhance social skills and emotional well-being.

Safe Practices:

Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, always following safety protocols.

Environment Maintenance:

Ideal candidates will have:

REQUIREMENTS

• Fingerprint card
• active
• Current Prevention & Support, Article 9, and CPR/FA certifications
• 18 years of age or over

Experience:

Previous experience with individuals on the autism spectrum or those with developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Background in caregiving, senior care, or related fields is a plus.

Skills & Knowledge:

Familiarity with direct support principles and practices. Knowledge of resident rights and advocacy techniques. Ability to perform basic health monitoring tasks, such as taking vital signs.
