Job Description

Community Living Instructor (CLI) (Caregiver for Individuals with Disabilities) A Bright Future, Inc. specializes in supporting individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities to live safely, independently, and with dignity in their homes and communities. We are currently hiring Part-Time Community Living Instructors (CLIs) for the following locations, schedules, and availability needs: Current Openings Oakland Friday-Sunday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Must have experience working with individuals with disabilities Berkeley Part-time, as-needed/on-call position Must be a driver with reliable transportation Brentwood Part-time Fridays only Position Overview Community Living Instructors (CLIs) provide direct care, instruction, and supervision to individuals with disabilities. This role focuses on teaching independent living skills, supporting daily routines, and ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of participants both at home and in the community. Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one support in home and community settings Assist with personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks Support community integration, appointments, errands, and recreational activities Encourage independence, communication, and social development Monitor safety and follow individualized support plans Complete daily documentation and communicate with supervisors as needed Qualifications Drug screening required CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days) Negative TB test DOJ fingerprint clearance prior to employment Compassionate, dependable, and patient Training Provided No experience required for some positions Paid training provided Ongoing support and supervision available Compensation $16.90 per hour Why Join A Bright Future?
