Clinical Manager / Administrator Position Summary The Home Health Receptionist / Clerical Assistant provides essential front-desk and administrative support for PractiCare Home Health. As the first point of contact for patients, families, visitors, and staff, this role ensures a welcoming and professional environment. Responsibilities include managing phone calls, scheduling, maintaining records, and supporting both the clinical and administrative teams in their daily operations. Key Responsibilities Welcome and assist patients, families, visitors, and staff in a professional and courteous manner. Answer, screen, and direct incoming calls; accurately take and relay messages. Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements. Assist with scheduling patient visits and updating staff calendars as directed. Perform clerical duties including filing, scanning, copying, faxing, and mail distribution. Support clinical staff by preparing, maintaining, and organizing patient charts and records. Enter information into the agency's electronic medical records (EMR) system with accuracy. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area. Provide administrative support for special projects, meetings, and audits as assigned.
Specific Duties Include:
Adding admission forms to patient charts (therapy Start of Care). Adding discharge instructions to patient charts (therapy Discharge). Adding consent forms to Start of Care nursing files. Adding RS to all skilled nursing notes. Mailing Start of Care booklets to patients' homes. Assisting with wound supply distribution to nurses in the office. Assist with ordering and maintaining office supplies. Perform additional related duties as required. Qualifications High school diploma or GED (required). Prior receptionist or clerical experience (healthcare setting preferred). Familiarity with office procedures and standard office equipment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to manage multi-line phone systems. Professional and compassionate communication skills when interacting with patients, families, and staff. Commitment to confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Pay:
$16.90 - $18.00 per hour
