Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as a Direct Support Professional, working Tuesday through Saturday from 2pm to 10pm! In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care to individuals with diverse needs, empowering them to live fulfilling lives. Your energetic and positive approach will foster a supportive environment where residents feel valued, safe, and engaged. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve while developing your skills in a dynamic and rewarding setting. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring their comfort and dignity. Support residents with medication administration and monitor vital signs to promote health and safety. Provide companionship and engage residents in social activities to enhance their well-being and reduce feelings of isolation. Operate manual handling equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely to assist with mobility needs. Maintain accurate documentation on MAR Pass medication Follow care plans meticulously, implementing behavior management strategies for residents with dementia or other cognitive impairments. Assist with meal preparation, light cleaning, and maintaining a safe, clean environment in compliance with health standards. Document shift notes Requirements Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care is highly desirable. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, geriatrics, and long-term care practices. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in medication administration and manual handling is preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills coupled with a compassionate attitude toward individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges. Valid driver's license for driving duties related to resident outings or appointments is a plus. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist residents with mobility needs safely. $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
