In this role, you will empower residents to live as independently as possible by offering personalized support in their daily activities, ensuring safety, and fostering a positive environment. Your dedication will help enhance quality of life, promote dignity, and encourage community engagement for those you serve. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA privacy standards Support residents during meal preparation, cooking, and feeding to promote independence and proper nutrition Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts and ensure safe transfer procedures for residents with mobility challenges Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through regular cleaning and sanitation tasks Document care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies Participate in developing and updating individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs Engage residents in social activities and community outings to foster socialization and emotional well-being Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings is highly preferred Knowledge of patient care techniques including assisting with ADLs, medication administration, and patient monitoring Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, and HIPAA compliance are required or can be obtained upon hire Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly Strong observational skills for patient safety and dementia or Alzheimer's care needs Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or memory care requirements is advantageous Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and residents' families Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful, person-centered care Join us in creating a supportive environment where individuals thrive!
