Meagan is an active, social individual who loves music, family, and dogs. She uses a power wheelchair and is highly involved in her community, social clubs, and faith. We are looking for a reliable "people person" who brings a joyful spirit and is looking for a rewarding, stable commitment. We provide 100% paid, hands-on training for all specialized equipment and transfers. Shifts frequently overlap with another caregiver, providing a highly supportive and safe team environment. Key Responsibilities (DSP Duties)

Community Integration:

Transport and accompany Meagan to local social events, faith-based activities, community outings, and swimming.

Personal Care & ADLs:

Assist with daily living skills, including showering, personal hygiene, and diaper changes.

Mobility Support:

Safely utilize a Hoyer lift, shower chair, and secure a power wheelchair using an EZ-Lock ramp system in a specialized van (training provided).

Independent Living Skills:

Perform light housekeeping, grocery shopping, and meal preparation/food prep.

Health & Safety:

Assist with routine medication administration and health monitoring.

Required Qualifications Background Check:

Must be able to successfully pass a comprehensive criminal background check.

Certification:

Must hold a valid CPR / First Aid Certification (or be willing to obtain one before starting).

Transportation:

Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record (required to drive the client's EZ-Lock van for community outings around Orange County).

Preferred Qualifications Experience:

Previous DSP, caregiver, or PCA experience is preferred, but a patient, caring, and "can-do" attitude is our top priority.

Personality:

Social, reliable, schedule-flexible, and comfortable working in a home environment with dogs.
