Our Agency services adult and geriatric clients per-visit basis in territories throughout Los Angeles County, Orange County and Kern County. The home health aide provides personal care and related services in the home that are allowed to be performed under state law. She/he functions under the direction, instruction, and supervision of the staff nurse and the Director of Patient Care Services and/or appropriate supervisor.
Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential care and support to individuals in their homes. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a vital role in assisting patients with daily activities and ensuring their overall well-being. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.Duties:
- Provide personal care assistance to patients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety at all times
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with meal planning and preparation, adhering to dietary restrictions
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and tidying up the patient's living space
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure effective care coordination
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Requirements:
_ Valid CA CHHA License/Certificate. _ Valid CA Drivers License _ BLS/CPR- Previous experience in home health preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare practices
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Compassionate nature and genuine desire to help others
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
